Aaladin Superior was founded in 1991 by Shayne Duplak, who brought over 42 years of experience in welding, hydraulic mechanics, equipment manufacturing, sales, and troubleshooting. Duplak’s journey took him across the U.S. to deepen his knowledge, and he also served as Vice-President/Secretary-Treasurer at Western Utilities Equipment Co. Ltd. Before Aaladin, Duplak co-founded Hotsy Western in 1981, which sold and serviced Hotsy pressure washers. The idea for Aaladin Superior emerged by chance in 1991 when Duplak encountered an innovative Aaladin pressure washer in South Dakota. Intrigued by its stainless-steel design, Duplak became the first Canadian distributor, selling his first unit from his home in Manitoba. Recognizing a demand for cleaning compounds, Duplak spent late nights at the Winnipeg Library crafting chemical formulas. By 1992, his first products were ready and sold directly from his garage. Despite challenges, including the early-2000s economic recession and the COVID-19 downturn, Duplak’s perseverance helped the company continue growing and expanding into agriculture, industrial, commercial, and government sectors. Today, Aaladin Superior, supported by a full-time chemist, continues to innovate with new products while maintaining strict government standards and offering superior service.
