Had the opportunity to speak with Shane about a project that I was doing, and asked him if he had a product that would stop the surface rust on metal and convert it to an ovided surface that could be painted over. The project was on a 1963 Ford F350 with original paint. He said he would talk with his guys and see what they could do.
A couple of weeks later, he called to say, they had mixed up a product that would do what I asked for and he would drop it off for me to 'give it a try'. I tried it on the rusted hood, roof and fenders of the truck. Applying it with a hand sprayer bottle, I coated the surface with Aaladin's product, and watched as the rust bubbled away, and started to leave a blue-black finish. I washed it off with water and used a carwash brush with some Dawn dishsoap to give it a scrub. Out came a blue-black finish on the previous rust spots that existed on the factory painted hood from 1963.
Amazing to say the least. Even weeks later when I took pictures, there was no sign of rust, even though it rained a couple times during that period.
